CPEAR
was invited to investigate a house of a family of someone that is related to a member of the team. This was an opportunity
for the group to get in to a different part of the country and help a family out especially since they were related to a member
of the team.
Tech Manager Chuck Feltman along with Investigator in training Joanne made the long
trip out to Missouri to conduct an investigation. Due to the inability to take along a full compliment of equipment,
the team utilized only handheld video, audio recorders, emf meters and digital cameras. The homeowner was also there
and CPEAR involved the family throughout the investigation. The weather was clear that night and the temp was below
30 degrees and slightly windy.
The claims of activity were banging noises throughout the house, disembodied
voices as well as a full body apparition of a small girl being seen in the basement. The homeowner feels that the spirit
of the small girl often will be found in the master bedroom as well as the older daughters room. Upon research of the house
it was a discovered that an elderly couple had died in the house at separate times.
The investigation
lasted a few hours into the night. CPEAR was able to determine that some of the noises that were heard throughout the
house were caused by normal sounds of the wind as well as the heater going on. While doing an evp session in the bedroom
areas an evp was captured on audio of a possible response to an investigators request.
Due
to the fact of not having enough investigators and equipment to do a thorough investigation CPEAR reached out to a fellow
paranormal team based in the KC area called Paranormal Activity Investigators. The teams have agreed to conduct a joint investigation
of the residence in the beginning of 2010. CPEAR looks forward to partnering up with a new team and developing new friendships
while helping people to find answers.
Stay tuned for part 2 of the Kansas City case. - Chuck Feltman
