CPEAR was contacted by a family in Vernon CT to see if we could verify what the family was experiencing in there home. The team came to the residence on 10/24/09

The family that lived there recently had a death in the family within the past 7 months.  The family had been experiencing events that had led them to believe that there was something going on.  They believed that even though that person had passed, they were still following the same routine that was a regular schedule.  Everytime they would smell a lavender smell, that would signify that this meant that the spirit of the passed member of the family was returning home.  With the smell there was some accompanying noises and the deceased members dog would react like he knew someone was there.  Most of the activity centered on the basement of the home where the member of the family that passed used as his bedroom.

CPEAR brought 8 investigators to the house that night.  An 8 camera dvr system, handheld IR cameras, digital cameras, emf meters, audio recorders, and the ovilus were used during the investigation.  The basement area was completely covered and evp sessions were held and even the homeowners were involved in the investigation.  The weather was overcast and raining fairly hard.

Throughout the night a couple of the investigators did in fact smell a lavender type of smell that we could not explain where it came from.  Also, there were a couple of evps that were captured in the basement.

In CPEARs opinion there is some kind of activity going on in the residence.  Sometimes loved ones want to continue to check in on the people that they love and this could be....the family did believe that the voice that was captured did in fact sound like the voice of the passed family member. CPEAR is happy that we could help this family and want to say thank you to them for having us come in for treating us the way that they did.
