CPEAR was contacted by phone by a homeowner in Willamantic who needed our help about what was happening in the home.  The residence of the home were the parents and 5 small boys. Group founder Mike Mafera and Tech Manager Chuck Feltman went to the residence to meet with the client.  The claims of activity in the house were loud banging in the walls on the second floor, the feeling of being watched and an instance of a pen flying off the kitchen table. Based on the interview and the genuine reaction of the family, especially with young children, Mike made the decision to do a 2 day investigation to ensure that a very thorough investigation could be done.

The team brought about 6 investigators to each investigation including members from CPEAR's close friends at CTSoulseekers.  The weather was fairly warm and there was some rain on the first night but overall clear.  The team used an 8 camera DVR system, handheld IR cameras, audio, emf meters, the ovilus as well as the ghost box.  The team broke into small groups and investigated throughout the night.  There were some sounds that were heard during the night but were deemed just as normal house settling noises.  Also, the house is a twin house and noise tends to travel between the walls and it was unknown if anyone was home next door.  Also, there was a items placed throughout the kitchen and on the table in the hopes of capturing something.  A possible explanation of the pen shooting off the table could be that there is a window next to the table with very sheer drapes that could possibly hook the tip or cap of the pen and fling it off the
table.  Although this did not happen the drapes were moving with the wind. The client was fairly sure that the windows were closed when the pen was moved off the table.  Also, there was a pretty high emf reading in the kitchen and utility room that could be a explanation of the feeling of being watched by the client.

Although no concrete evidence was found during the two nights the team was happy that we could give the client explanations for what they were experiencing,  Founders Mike Mafera, Carrie Kearns and Tech Manager Chuck Feltman went over all findings with the client and and they were happy and somewhat relieved. We want to thank them for inviting them into their home and also thank the CTsoulseekers for their partnership on this case.
